The Whole Story
Friends + Events = The Joy of Life
In 2016 Stephanie Nale and Amy Latane met when Amy was hired as the Event Manager at the brewpub in Washington, DC where Steph was already working as the General Manager and they became fast friends. After working together to create a thriving private events business at the brewpub, they went their separate ways, Amy into consulting with other restaurants on their private events programs and Steph into running the events at a local winery, but remained best friends.
When the pandemic forced both of them into new career paths they knew that at some point they wanted to work together in events and hospitality again.
Fast forward a few years and both had relocated to Denver, where Amy happened to be helping a friend plan their wedding. This friend wanted a smaller wedding in a non-traditional venue where everything was basically taken care of and easy. So they started looking into restaurants as Amy knew all too well what an incredible venue they could be for an event like that.
This was when she started to dicover how few restaurants in Denver were truly equipped for and making use of their available space for private events and even if they were, they were not marketing it in a way that made it easy for potential customers to find out about their private event offerings. Both women, knowing from experience what a boost private events can give to a restaurant's bottom line by opening up a reliable additional revenue stream, they found this curious.
This prompted them to do a little digging and they discovered how many Millennials and now Gen Zers had very little interest in giant, over the top, ballroom style weddings, instead preferring a smaller party-type atmosphere that worked well in the context of restaurants, bars, brewpubs, and the like.
They knew then they had found their calling - to help restauranteurs take advantage of this blossoming market and thereby grow their businesses through the art of the party.
